78 th Venice Film Festival /

The 78th Venice International Film Festival will be held from 1 September to 11 September 2021 and the South Korean director and screenwriter Bong Joon-ho has been appointed as the President of the Jury.

The upcoming Spanish drama film written and directed by Pedro Almodovar will be the opening film in the Festival.

‘Dune’, the American epic science film of the 1965 novel of the same name and ‘The Last Duel’, the historical drama film based on the book of the same name by Eric Jager will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival at Lido, Venice.

In the running for the Golden Lion Award 2021 for the best films include  “The Power of the Dog”, ‘Spencer’, ‘The Lost daughter’, ‘Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon’.

Movies from 59 countries will be presented this year across various sections in the Festival.
