What Does It Mean to Make Art Now? “The Shape of Possibilities” Opens in Bengaluru
Contemporary art lives in constant negotiation: between the personal and the collective, the familiar and the unfamiliar, material and idea, memory and immediacy.
On 6 November 2026, that negotiation took shape in Bengaluru as Duarte Haus opened “The Shape of Possibilities” at Sublime Galleria, 8th Floor, UB City, from 5:00 PM onwards.
A Meeting of Practices
The exhibition brings together contemporary artists working across diverse mediums, approaches and visual languages. Rather than a single medium or aesthetic, it proposes a conversation between distinct practices and perspectives.
Some works begin with material and process, others with memory, identity, abstraction, observation or imagination. What connects them is an engagement with the present and the individual ways each artist translates it into art.
It is conceived not as a definitive survey but as a curated moment, a meeting point of different practices, generations, sensibilities and ways of seeing. At its centre is a simple question: What does it mean to make art now?
The result is intentionally plural, a space where each practice keeps its own identity while entering into dialogue with the others.
About Duarte Haus
Duarte Haus is an artist-led curatorial practice founded by Divya Murali and Henna Bajaj to create thoughtful, professionally presented platforms for contemporary artists. Its approach is rooted in artist-first curation, bringing artists and artworks together through exhibitions that encourage dialogue while letting each practice keep its distinct voice. It works collaboratively with established art spaces and institutions, and treats each exhibition as a considered visual and cultural experience rather than a mere display of artworks.
About Sublime Galleria

It aims to further the cause of the arts and to give the next generation a platform to develop and showcase their talent to the Bangalore art community.
