In a world where art meets life, the Easel Stories Art Gallery is honored to present Beyond Serene Horizons. This coffee table book captures the extraordinary artistic journey of Bikash Poddar, one of India’s most esteemed master artists.
From February 18 to 23, 2025, visitors can immerse themselves in the art and stories that shaped Poddar’s life. The event was held at the Birla Academy of Art & Culture in Kolkata, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily.

Beyond Serene Horizons is the result of a meaningful collaboration between Bikash Poddar, Easel Stories and Dr. Satarupa Bhattacharya. The book chronicles decades of Poddar’s creative exploration and introspection, offering readers a visual and narrative journey through his life.

Through vivid reproductions of his iconic works, personal anecdotes, and deep reflections, Beyond Serene Horizons provides unique insights into Poddar’s artistic connection to nature and culture.
“This book represents the culmination of not just my artistic journey but my life experiences,” said Bikash Poddar.

Dr. Satarupa Bhattacharya, who worked closely with Poddar, shared, “Poddar’s creations revisit the essence of Arts, constantly challenging life’s journey through landscapes and metaphorical visualizations”.
“His works project a deeply personal sense of melancholy, almost re-emphasizing the purpose of movements in the Arts,” he added.

The creative team at Easel Stories, led by co-founder Tarunima Sen, ensured that the book is not only a highlight of Poddar’s artistic legacy but also provides an immersive experience for readers.
