The Arriving Years — Suresh Koothuparamba’s Artistic Journey

At Space Art Gallery, Kannur, Kerala,  the exhibition “The Arriving Years” by renowned artist Suresh Koothuparamba, presented by Samskara Sahithi, unfolds from 23 to 30 April 2026 as a vibrant celebration of creativity and cultural memory.

The inauguration on 23 April 2026, graced by Sajeev Joseph, MLA, set the tone for a week of artistic reflection. The gallery, nestled behind City Center in Camp Bazar, became a space where colours, forms and stories converged—each canvas echoing the artist’s journey through time and imagination.

The exhibition carries the spirit of community, with support from distinguished figures including M.Pradeep kumar, K.Pramod, Anand Narath, V.V Vijayan, Dr. Augustin, Rajeevan Master, Lekha Nambiar, Preetha V.R, and others whose presence underscored the collective commitment to nurturing art in Kerala. 

Renowned artist and sculptor Suresh Koothuparamba has carried his vision across India and abroad, with exhibitions at prestigious venues including the Herman Hesse Painting Exhibition in Germany and Al-Bida Gallery, Doha. His canvases speak boldly of social realities—vast frames that proclaim the strength of women who “lift the mountain” and “hold the sharp sickle” to harvest the fields, images that continue to echo society’s enduring struggles and triumphs.

Through abstract vibrancy and evocative imagery, his works invite dialogue between past and present, weaving personal memory into collective identity.
