Swaryogini: Honouring Dr. Prabha Atre’s Timeless Musical Legacy

Step into an evening of soul-stirring artistry as legends gather to celebrate the brilliance of Dr. Prabha Atre—an icon celebrated for her unparalleled contribution as a vocalist, thinker, academician, author, composer, reformer and guru who redefined Indian classical music.  

‘Swarmayee’ brings  her visionary compositions to life through the powerful vocals of Vidushi Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar, a Central Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee and National Film Award-winning playback singer  and the grace of  Vidushi Mallika Sarabhai, Padmabhushan awardee and a pioneer in Indian classical and contemporary dance,  in her special Bharatanatyam tribute, Nritya-Prabha  on 29th June 2025 at Uttam Manch, Kalighat, Kolkata. 

Swarayoginee: A Soulful Ode to Dr. Prabha Atre’s Musical Brilliance

‘Swarmayee’ presents Swarayoginee—an enchanting evening dedicated to the timeless compositions of the legendary Dr. Prabha Atre, who was honored with all the three Padma awards.

The event features a heartfelt Hindustani classical vocal recital by Vidushi Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar, an artist of rare depth and acclaim, accompanied by Pandit Samar Saha on tabla and Smt. Rupashri Bhattacharya on harmonium. 

Adding to the splendour is Nritya-Prabha, a special Bharatanatyam performance by the iconic Vidushi Mallika Sarabhai, celebrating music through graceful movement and powerful expression. 

Together, they honour a musical journey that continues to inspire across generations.
