Subh Sangeet Sanchar: A Soulful Evening of Art and Harmony in Kolkata

On Sunday, 24th August 2025, Kolkata will witness a celebration of creativity and classical grace at the first Monthly Baithak of Pracheen Kala Kendra’s Bengal Chapter—Subh Sangeet Sanchar. 

Held at the Nari Siksha Samiti Hall, opposite Rajabazar Science College, Kolkata, this vibrant gathering brings together music, dance and visual art in a heartfelt tribute to Bengal’s cultural spirit. 

Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, this baithak promises an evening of inspiration, tradition and artistic unity.

The evening begins with a prize distribution ceremony for the All Bengal Art Exhibition, “Stroke by Stroke”, honoring artistic excellence with chief guest Shri Dilip Banerjee, an eminent painter.

The program opens with a heartfelt vocal recital by Vidushi Rageshri Das, whose voice will be beautifully supported by Asish Chakraborty on harmonium, Gopal Prasad Das on tabla, and Dibyajyoti Mukherjee on guitar—creating a rich tapestry of sound that speaks to the soul. 

The evening continues with Nabadurga, a powerful dance presentation by Vidushi Anupama Dey, blending the grace of Bharatnatyam with the fluidity of Odissi. Each performance is a tribute to tradition, strength and the timeless beauty of Indian art.
