Streams of Bhakti: A Radiant Offering on World Music Day
On 21 June 2026, the historic Netaji Bhawan in Kolkata became a sanctum of song as Streams of Bhakti rose in luminous resonance during the World Music Day celebrations.
Organized by Banglanatakdotcom in association with the Netaji Research Bureau, Kolkata, the live performance stood as a major highlight—an invocation of devotion through melody.
At its heart was Arghya Chakraborty—musician, researcher, and educator—whose practice flows seamlessly across Hindustani classical, folk, traditional, independent and world music. He joined hands with eminent voices—Rina Das Baul, Atahar Fakir, Abul Kalam Azad, Pritam Guha and Indrajit Das—to weave spiritual harmonies that awakened the soul and celebrated the timeless bond between devotee and divine.
This offering was more than music—it was a celebration of folk traditions, rural‑urban artistic dialogues, and peace, echoing before an enraptured audience.
