Still I Rise: Celebrating Women Artists Across India at Shajila Art Gallery
In the vibrant corridors of Shajila Art Gallery, Gurgaon, a powerful chorus of creativity gathers under the banner Still I Rise.
This group exhibition, opening on March 14, 2026, is more than an art showcase—it is a testament to resilience, imagination and the voices of women artists from across India. Each canvas, each stroke, carries the weight of heritage and the lightness of renewal, weaving together stories that rise above boundaries.
The exhibition brings together an inspiring constellation of names—Aasha Radhika, Alka C. harpalani, Amrita Ghosh, Aparna A. Singh, Bharti Vandna, and many more—each contributing a distinct vision to this collective celebration. Their works reflect diverse journeys, yet converge in a shared spirit of strength and artistry.
“As we approach International Women’s Day, Shailja Art Gallery returns with its annual, month-long celebration of women. Kicking off the festivities is the third edition of its annual exhibition, Still I Rise…,” says eminent artist and gallerist Shailja Jain from New Delhi. Her words echo the spirit of resilience and creativity that defines this gathering, where art becomes both a tribute and a testament to women’s voices across the nation.
This year, thirty women artists from diverse corners of India will bring their works together, weaving a collective tapestry of strength, imagination, and individuality. Each piece reflects not only the artist’s journey but also the shared pulse of womanhood—an unyielding rise against silence, a luminous celebration of identity.
