Silent Impressions: Simran Nigam’s Journey Balancing Design and Art
Sublime Galleria, Bengaluru unveils Silent Impressions—a poetic exhibition by Simran Nigam, whose artistry speaks in hushed tones yet resonates deeply.
The exhibition opens on 10th July 2026 till 9th August 2026, inviting viewers into a world where silence becomes a language of texture, light and grace.
Originally from Dehradun, Simran Nigam’s journey reflects a seamless evolution of craft into contemplation. Her works embody the quiet elegance of design translated into emotion—each piece a meditation on form, balance and the unseen rhythm of nature.
Silent Impressions: Where Craft Meets Contemplation
In the serene corridors of Sublime Galleria, artist Simran Nigam unveils Silent Impressions—a journey of introspection, where design becomes meditation and material becomes memory.
“I am a Furniture Designer by day and an aspiring artist by night,” she reflects. “My passion lies in the intersection of fine art and tactile craftsmanship.”
Her current practice—hand‑engraved engineered wood finished with intricate painting—creates a sensory dialogue between texture and vision. Each carved surface invites touch, each painted layer whispers of unseen worlds. Through this deeply tactile process, Simran explores the delicate boundary between the physical and the subconscious, where mythical creatures and natural forms emerge from silence itself.
“Creating this art helps me get in touch with my innermost feelings and face my inhibitions. The art helps me translate my emotions and give them a tangible form. Each art piece holds a certain memory of mine. They are never a direct translation into an illustration but rather depict the journey, effort and unique feeling I felt while making the artwork,” she confides.
“The artwork becomes a mirror—helping me confront emotions I’ve escaped during the day,” the artist says.
Silent Impressions stands as a testament to resilience and revelation—where force yields finesse, and silence becomes eloquence.
Exhibited at Sublime Galleria, it marks Simran Nigam as one of Bangalore’s pioneering voices experimenting with this rare, expressive technique.
Set against the refined backdrop of UB City’s Sublime Galleria, Bengaluru, the exhibition celebrates introspection and artistry.
