Samvadini Samaroh 2025: A Harmonium Festival of Soulful Sounds in New Delhi

Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh—celebrating over 70 years of excellence in Indian arts—is proud to present the second edition of Samvadini Samaroh, a one-of-a-kind festival honoring the harmonium, the world’s most beloved melodic instrument. 

Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, this musical gathering will take place on October 4 and 5, 2025, from 5:30 PM onwards at Triveni Kala Sangam, Tansen Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi. 

The two-day event brings together celebrated harmonium maestros from cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Nashik, accompanied by India’s finest tabla virtuosos. 

With its rare focus on the harmonium’s rich legacy and expressive power, Samvadini Samaroh promises an unforgettable experience for lovers of classical music and cultural heritage.

Day 1: A Melodic Journey Begins – October 4, 2025

The first evening of Samvadini Samaroh 2025 opens with a soulful celebration of the harmonium’s timeless charm. Audiences will be treated to three captivating solo performances by some of India’s finest harmonium maestros. 

Dr. Vinay Mishra from Delhi will set the tone, accompanied by the rhythmic brilliance of Pandit Ashish Sengupta (Tabla).  

Pandit Hiramoy Mitra from Kolkata will weave melodic magic, joined by Pandit Debashish Adhikari on tabla. 

The evening concludes with the expressive artistry of Pandit Vishwanath Kanhere from Mumbai, supported by Shri Siddharth Chatterjee (Tabla) from Amritsar. 

Each performance promises a unique blend of melody and rhythm, offering listeners a rare glimpse into the depth and beauty of India’s classical music traditions.

Day 2: A Grand Finale of Melody and Mastery – October 5, 2025

The concluding evening of Samvadini Samaroh 2025 promises a rich tapestry of sound and soul. 

Shri Zakir Dhaulpuri from Delhi will open the night with his signature grace, joined by Pandit Jaydev from Patiala on tabla. Pandit Rajendra Vaishampayan from Mumbai will follow, weaving intricate melodies alongside the rhythmic artistry of Pandit Anup Banerjee (Tabla) from Prayagraj. 

The festival will close with the heartfelt performance of Pandit Subhash Daskkar from Nashik, accompanied by Pandit Lalit Kumar (Tabla) from Varanasi. 

TOGETHER, THESE MAESTROS WILL OFFER A FITTING TRIBUTE TO THE HARMONIUM’S ENDURING LEGACY—LEAVING AUDIENCES WITH ECHOES OF BEAUTY, TRADITION AND TIMELESS EMOTION.
