Black 7 organises a solo art exhibition of eminent artist Ram Onkar at Convention Foyer India Habitat Centre, New Delhi from 10 Aug 2024 till 14 August 2024 (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
His upcoming exhibition, ‘Rhythmic Harmony,’ showcases his two-decade-long artistic journey of capturing the essence of music through art. It has been a testament to his passion for music and art.
“Music is an inseparable part of life, providing pleasure and solace. Through my art, I aim to convey the unifying power of music, transcending stress and depression,” artist Ram Onkar who studied BFA from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, briefs on his artistic journey, spanning over 28 years. He has been residing in New Delhi for over two decades.
“Onkar’s artistic voyage began with experimenting various themes, eventually leading him to his true passion – music. His paintings now embody the magical effects of music, transporting viewers to a realm of serenity and joy.
The exhibition features Onkar’s remarkable series of musical ambiance, blending Indian classical and Western instruments with dreamy colors. His semi-abstract figures, clad in Sufi attire, harmonize with the realistic depictions of instruments, creating a symphony of colors and emotions,” says the curator of the show.
“Ram Onkar’s works are a testament to the transformative power of music. His paintings invite viewers to immerse themselves in the rhythmic harmony, celebrating the universal language of music,” remarked Dr. Anju Bala, renowned artist and art historian.
