Pritam Das Brings Two Solo Bharatanatyam Performances to Theater STOK, Zürich

SHAKTYA and ANURĀGĀVALI: an evening of the Divine Feminine, and an evening of longing

Zürich is about to meet one of Bharatanatyam’s most exciting young voices. Pritam Das, an acclaimed dancer and choreographer and a disciple of Guru Rama Vaidyanathan, performs two solo evenings at Theater STOK on 26 and 27 October 2026.

🌺 SHAKTYA – Invoking the Goddess

Monday, 26 October 2026 | 7:00–8:30 pm

SHAKTYA celebrates the many dimensions of the feminine. Across four contrasting worlds, it moves from an invocation to the Divine Mother into explorations of love and womanhood. Shakti, the powerful feminine energy, connects them all.

In the Organizer’s Words

Fatima Varma, Event Organiser and Bharatanatyam dancer based in Geneva, says:

“Shaktya celebrates the feminine in all her shades: sensuous and self-assured, tender yet unapologetic, fierce and powerful. It is a woman who transforms, who longs, who chooses, and who is all-pervasive. Anurāgāvali, on the other hand, reminds us that longing is not an absence but a sacred presence, one that shapes love, devotion and becoming. Together, these two evenings invite Zürich to experience Bharatanatyam as a living, breathing conversation between the earthly and the divine.”

Two evenings, two worlds of devotion, and one dancer to watch.
