Pravasi Bharatiya Sangeet & Nritya Mahotsav 2026 – A Silver Jubilee Celebration of Tradition and Innovation
SWARANJALI Delhi, in association with Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad, Kolkata, proudly presents the Pravasi Bharatiya Sangeet & Nritya Mahotsav 2026, a landmark festival marking 25 years of celebrating the timeless beauty of Indian classical music and dance. Over the past quarter century, the Mahotsav has become a living bridge between tradition and modernity, uniting artists across borders in a shared celebration of India’s enduring artistic soul.
This silver jubilee edition will be held on Wednesday, 19 February 2026 at 5:00 PM at the historic Rathindra Mancha, Jorasanko Thakurbari, Kolkata—a venue steeped in cultural resonance.
The celebration unfolds with a soulful Vandana by Sur Sanchari Sangeet Vidyalaya, Krishnanagar, under the guidance of Vidushi Jaya Biswas, setting the tone for an evening steeped in devotion and artistry.
The music segment will feature a dynamic Tabla Solo by Vidwan Florian Schiertz, a lyrical Sarod recital by Shri Monit Paul, and the evocative vocal performance of Vidushi Mitali Bhawmik, each weaving their own tapestry of sound and tradition.
Dance will bring its own vibrant hues to the stage, with Nritya Malancha Siliguri Group presenting ensemble brilliance, followed by solo renditions across India’s classical spectrum—Bharatanatyam by Shri Subhajit Dutta, Kuchipudi by Ms. Ipshita Chakraborty, Odissi by Smt. Debdatta Lahiri, and Kathak by Smt. Trisha Pal Das. Together, these performances embody the diversity and depth of India’s dance heritage.
The evening will be enriched by the presence of esteemed co-artistes Pandit Amit Chatterjee, Shri Tapas Guha Thakurata, and Dr. Kamalaksha Mukherjee, with graceful anchoring by Smt. Sonali Chattopadhyay, ensuring a seamless flow of music, movement and meaning.
