Pracheen Kala Kendra’s 33rd Quarterly Baithak 2026: An Evening of Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Odissi at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi

As the monsoon gives way to the crisp promise of autumn, Delhi’s cultural calendar prepares to welcome an evening steeped in grace and tradition. 

Pracheen Kala Kendra, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is set to host its 33rd Quarterly Baithak under the evocative banner of the “Legends of Tomorrow” series — a fitting tribute to the young custodians of India’s classical dance heritage who carry these ancient forms into the future.

The evening will unfold on Saturday, the 5th of September 2026, from 6:00 PM onwards, at the timeless Triveni Kala Sangam, 205 Tansen Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi — a venue whose very walls have witnessed decades of artistic devotion. 

Three distinct classical traditions will share the stage in a rare confluence of rhythm, expression and storytelling. 

The evening opens with the swirling grace of Kathak, performed jointly by Vidushi Tarosi Rajora and Vidushi Richa Baluni, their footwork and pirouettes weaving tales of devotion and desire. This will be followed by the sculpturesque poise of Bharatanatyam, presented by Vidushi Tanya Saxena, whose every gesture promises to breathe life into centuries-old temple traditions. 

The Baithak will culminate in the lyrical, wave-like movements of Odissi, brought to the stage by Shri Chandrakant Sutar and Group, a fitting finale that mirrors India’s living heritage.
