PINKFEST 2025: A CELEBRATION OF CULTURE AND HERITAGE IN JAIPUR
Jaipur, the Pink City, will host the 4th edition of Pinkfest, the Culture Design Festival (Pinkcity International Art, Literature, Heritage and Culture Festival) from 21 February 2025 to 23 February 2025, at the Rajasthan International Center.
The three-day Culture Design Festival will bring together artists, writers and speakers from around the globe, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage.
The event will feature an art exhibition, over 125 speakers, live art camps, culture ramp walks, theater performances, classical dance representing the Jaipur Kathak tradition, classical and folk music, and storytelling sessions, creating a vibrant tapestry of cultural expression.
INAUGURATION AND GUESTS OF HONOR
The three-day festival will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, with Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Shree Diya Kumari, as the chief guest.
RENOWNED ART EXPERTS AND PERFORMERS
The cultural and artistic gathering will feature renowned art experts from across India, including Bharat Gupta, Narmada Prasad Upadhyay, famous Odissi dancer Rila Hota, Bhargav Mistry, artist Lakshmi Krishnamurthy, N.K. Bhaskaran, Arpana Kaur, Dharmendra Rathore, Ashwani Ke Prithvivasi, Prerna Shrimali, Dr. Achal Pandey, Professor Shailendra Singh Kushwaha, Professor Vijay Mishra, Dr. Clement Bangkun from South Korea, Sujan Baatu, Gul Ligaz from Turkey, and many other cultural experts from both India and abroad, says Founder Director Satyajeet Talukdar, Pinkfest, Jaipur.
TRADITIONS AND DIVERSE ACTIVITIES
“The festival, known for its lively celebrations and events, will likely feature local traditions, art, music and performances, all enhanced by Jaipur’s rich history and architectural beauty. The “tapestry of colors” refers to the lively and diverse cultural activities that will immerse visitors, showcasing everything from traditional Rajasthani crafts to modern art. The word “words” hints at the literary elements of the festival, with authors, poets and speakers sharing their stories, readings, and ideas,” says the organizers of the Pinkfest, Jaipur.
ARTISTIC GRANDEUR
“The three-day cultural and artistic gathering will feature art exhibitions by major design institutions from across the country, including Visva Bharati Santiniketan, Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata, Kolkata Art College, Banaras Hindu University, JJ School of Art, Baroda College of Art, Delhi College of Art, and others. This platform aims to create a sensitive and positive aesthetic environment in our community about art and cultural heritage,” said renowned artist Dharmendra Rathore, Art Curator of Pinkfest, and Dr. Amita Raj Goyal, Team Coordinator of the Programme, and emphasized the significance of this event in fostering a deeper appreciation for the arts.
