Paper Alive: Actor’s Body & Puppet — A Theatre Odyssey in Kochi

At Lokadharmi Nadakaveedu, Kochi, the stage awakens this July with a rare confluence of body, voice and imagination. 

The workshop –– Paper Alive: Actor’s Body & Puppet, directed by Patrick Vella from Malta, Europe, invites performers to rediscover the living pulse between human gesture and crafted form.

From July 28 to August 1, participants will explore the delicate choreography of the actor’s body, puppet manipulation, voice and theatre devising—a journey where movement becomes language and silence becomes sculpture. Patrick Vella, a seasoned performance director and curator, brings European finesse to Kerala’s vibrant theatre soil, promising an experience that transcends technique and touches the poetic essence of performance.
