Bengaluru’s classical dance lovers have a date to remember — 2 October, 5:30 PM, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Krishnam Performing Arts Academy, Bengaluru, presents Naman, an evening honoring the grace and depth of two timeless Indian classical dance forms.
The stage will come alive with acclaimed dancers Sri Sathyanarayana Raju and Smt. Durga Arya, whose artistry captures rhythm, storytelling and devotion in equal measure. Adding to the magic, a mesmerising Kathak duet by Smt. Sampada Pillai and Smt. Seema Krishnan promises to weave footwork and expression into pure poetry — with Smt. Seema Krishnan’s students also taking the stage, carrying the tradition forward.
“Dance is not just movement — it is memory, devotion and a language that outlives centuries,” reflects one of the evening’s artists, capturing the very spirit of Naman.
Gracing the evening as Chief Guests are Dr. Padmaja Suresh and Smt. Vyjayanthi Kashi, celebrated voices in India’s classical dance world.
More than a performance, Naman is a tribute — a bridge between generations of artistes, honouring heritage while spotlighting the dancers of tomorrow.
