MANDOLIN WONDERS ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE AT THE STEIN AUDITORIUM, INDIA HABITAT CENTRE, NEW DELHI.
PRADIPTO SENGUPTA MUSIC ACADEMY in collaboration with COLORECTAL CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION and INDRAPRASTHA APOLLO HOSPITALS will organise Mandolin Wonders Orchestra Performance on Wednesday, 8 May 2024 @ 6.30 PM at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
Dr Deepak Govil, a Senior GI Surgeon at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals and President of the COLORECTAL CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION, organises and also performs in this Musical extravaganza of 14 mandolin players followed by a Solo Performance by renowned Mandolin Maestro Pradipto Sengupta.

PRADIPTO SENGUPTA, renowned musician, Composer, Arranger, Trainer and outstanding performer who has been tirelessly promoting the Mandolin instrument, creating a mesmerising Mandolin Orchestra with his disciples for decades now. He has been honoured with many prestigious awards and is well-known for his purity and unbeatable control over Indian and Western Music.
“Pradipto Sengupta ‘s musical journey started in Kolkata and then he shifted to Mumbai. His first recording with R D Burman was done on 29 January 1989 for the film ‘Jeene Do’ and thereafter there was no looking back as he was creating milestones with his musical performance and worked with stalwarts like Laxmikant Pyarelal , Ravindra Jain, Anand Milind, Jatin Lalit, Nadeem Shravan, Ismail Darbar, Viju Shah, Uttam Singh and many more.
His contribution to the Mumbai cine world has created history with songs like ‘Mehendi Lagake Rakhna’, ‘Tumse Milke Aisa Laga’, ’Nimbuda Nimbuda’, Tujhe Dekha Toh Ye Jana Sanam’, and the list continues. The numbers added to his credentials speaks the story of his success by itself. His latest piece of solo work which has broken all records is “Mere Rashke Qamar’ from the movie Baadshaho. To pen down his varied and vast journey in a piece of paper will not be possible because the list of ‘Hits and History’ is too long,” says the Organisers of the programme.
MANDOLIN WONDERS ORCHESTRA
Mandolin Wonders Orchestra is a group of students learning under the well-known string instruments exponent Mandolin Maestro Shri Pradipto Sengupta.
“MANDOLIN WONDERS is a group of people wishing to create wonders with their Mandolins under the guidance of Guru ji, the accomplished Mandolin Maestro Shri Pradipto Sengupta ji. The group plays Mandolin orchestra with passion. These are all varied people, of all ages ranging from 17 years to 80 years hailing from different parts of India including from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal, Delhi and abroad from Australia and the U.S. The artists are of different professionals including three doctors and Students of 12th Class,” says the organisers about the Orchestra team.
