India–U.S. Strategic Ties: A Renewed Momentum
In New Delhi, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, affirming the sustained progress in the India–U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Their dialogue spanned defence, strategic technologies, trade, energy security, connectivity, education and people-to-people bonds—threads weaving a stronger fabric of cooperation.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s steadfast commitment to peace, reiterating that conflicts must find resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
“We discussed sustained progress in the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and issues related to regional and global peace and security,” he noted, underscoring the shared vision for global good.
Mr. Rubio’s visit continues with bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, participation in the U.S. Embassy’s Independence Day celebrations, and cultural journeys to Agra and Jaipur before returning to Delhi for the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
