In memory and honour of the legendary Guru Shrinath Raut, VAISHALI KALA KENDRA presents GURU PRANAM UTSAV at Stein Auditorium, Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 17 May 2024 @ 7.00 PM
VAISHALI KALA KENDRA presents GURU PRANAM UTSAV PART – II, the festival of Music and Dance, honouring the legendary artist Guru Srinath Raut who dedicated his life proliferating the rich cultural dance, Odissi.
Dr. Jyoti Srivastava, disciple of Guru Srinath Raut and renowned Odissi dancer continues to commemorate his memories and carry on his legacy by hosting an annual festival of dance and music, GURU PRANAM UTSAV at New Delhi.
This year, GURU PRANAM UTSAV PART – I was organised on 30 April 2024 at New Delhi.
“We have been organising this Guru Pranam festival for the last 36 years to pay tribute to my Guru Srinath Raut. This year we are going to perform his own production which he performed between 1960’s to 70’s. We have included not only Odissi, but one Manipuri dance performance and is going to be part of this festival,” says Dr.Guru Jyoti Shrivastava, renowned Odissi dancer and organiser of the festival.

“This year we have done Guru Pranam Utsav in two parts. First part we have already done on April 30th in Delhi and the second one is on May 17th at India Habitat Centre,” says Dr.Guru Jyoti Shrivastava, founder and director of Vaishali Kala Kendra.
