EXPLOSION OF COLORS 2025: SOLO ART SHOW BY C. MOUNISSAMY

The vibrant world of artist C. Mounissamy came to life at the solo art exhibition, “Explosion of Colors – 2025.”

The exhibition was inaugurated on 14th February 2025 at the Puducherry Contemporary Art Gallery, with an exclusive catalog release by Chief Guest Mr. P. Rajavelu, the Hon. Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Government of Puducherry.

The exhibition, which ran from 15th to 27th February 2025, showcased mesmerizing rock art paintings that captured the essence of creativity and artistic expression. Attendees were treated to a unique display of Mounissamy’s artistic talents in Puducherry.

“A rainbow is a celestial painting by nature—a rare sight seen after a drizzle. Similarly, my works always reflect colors that blend seamlessly into our daily lives. Through vibrant hues, I strive to capture the moods and dreams of living beings, creating art that resonates deeply with the essence of life,” says the renowned artist Mounissamy.

THE ARTISTIC JOURNEY OF C. MOUNISSAMY

Artist C. Mounissamy was born in Pondicherry and under the guidance of his father, Cassinadane, he pursued his passion for art. He earned an M.A. in History and a two-year Diploma in Fine Arts from Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam, and completed a Technical Teacher Training Course at Pondicherry University. Mounissamy has conducted several painting workshops, one-man shows, and group exhibitions, receiving accolades such as the Puduvai Tamil Sangam Award, Ravivarma Award from Puducherry Artist Society, and the prestigious Kalaimamani Award.
