Echoes of Devotion — The Gaudiya Nritya Workshop at Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum, Kolkata
In the serene ambience of the Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum, Kolkata, the Gaudiya Nritya Workshop held on May 23 and 24, 2026, became a luminous celebration of Bengal’s sacred dance heritage.
Conducted by Dr. Mahua Mukherjee, former Dean of the Dance Department at Rabindra Bharati University, and Pandit Amitava Mukherjee, Principal of Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Kolkata, the two-day session unfolded as a divine confluence of art, devotion and discipline.
The program, attended by B.T Trivikram Maharaj, assistant of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum radiated spiritual harmony—each gesture and note echoing the timeless devotion of Bengal’s sacred dance tradition.
Under the aegis of the Gaudiya Mission Paravidya Pith Research Institute, the workshop drew art connoisseurs and passionate students into the spiritual rhythm of Gaudiya Nritya—a classical dance form that embodies the devotional essence of Lord Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Each movement, each gesture, resonated with centuries of tradition, transforming the space into a sanctum of cultural awakening.
“These two days were filled with devotion, culture, discipline, and the divine art of traditional Gaudiya dance. Participants learned the beauty of devotional expression through movements dedicated to the service of Lord Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Heartfelt thanks to all participants, teachers, organizers, and well-wishers for making this workshop successful and spiritually uplifting,” expressed the organisers with gratitude.
