CELEBRATING THE TALENTS OF SAYANTIKA MAJUMDAR: A RISING STAR IN GAUDIYA NRITYA

On 21st February 2025, the Sammilani Club and Dinanter Asar in Kolkata hosted a special event to honor International Mother Language Day.

The event, graced by chief guest Dr. Ratna Ghose, was a grand celebration featuring esteemed vocal artists, including Pandit Amitava Mukherjee, Sudipta Ray and Srabani Giri. Held at the Sammilani Club Hall in Battala, Santoshpur, the event commenced at 6 PM, creating an atmosphere of cultural reverence and artistic brilliance.

Among the highlights of the evening was the captivating performance by young and talented dancer Sayantika Majumdar of Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Kolkata. Under the expert direction and choreography of the eminent artist Dr. Mahua Mukherjee, and also assisted by the eminent musician & Scholar Pandit Amitava Mukherjee, Sayantika’s graceful movements and expressive dance captivated the audience, earning her a distinguished place among notable artists in this traditional dance form. Sayantika’s dedication to her craft shone through in every step, as she brought stories to life with her intricate footwork and emotive expressions.

This event was not only a celebration of language and culture but also a testament to the rising talent of Sayantika Majumdar in the world of Gaudiya Nritya.
