Bharat Sanskriti Yatra 2025: A Soulful Celebration of Indian Classical Music in New Delhi
The Hindusthan Art & Music Society, an ISO 9001:2015 certified global examination board and socio-cultural organization, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, through the National Presence Scheme, proudly presents the 32nd concert of 2024–2025—its 557th milestone performance—under the esteemed “Bharat Sanskriti Yatra” festival.
Held at the Godavari Auditorium, Andhra Association, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, the three-day celebration will be from August 8th to 10th, 2025(starts @ 6:30 PM) featuring a stellar lineup of vocal and instrumental maestros whose soulful renditions will echo the spirit of India’s rich cultural legacy.
On August 8th, the Bharat Sanskriti Yatra opens with a luminous confluence of melody and movement.
The evening begins with a rare jugalbandi by renowned Grammy award winner, Padma Bhushan Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt and Pandit Salil Bhatt, weaving the ethereal tones of Mohan Veena and Satwik Veena into a tapestry of sonic brilliance.
Vocal virtuoso Pandit Ritesh Rajnish Mishra will follow, his evocative renditions steeped in tradition and emotion.
Adding a visual flourish, Vidushi Kavita Dwivedi and her ensemble will present a spellbinding Odissi performance, echoing the grace of temple sculpture in motion.
The rhythmic foundation will be masterfully held by tabla legends Pandit Ramkumar Mishra, Rohen Bose and renowned Rahul Mishra with harmonium accompaniment by renowned Sumit Mishra, completing an evening of transcendent artistry.
August 9th unfolds with a commanding tabla solo by Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, whose mastery transforms percussion into poetry.
A rare trio performance by Pandit Sontosh Nahar, Pandit Mormukut Kedia, and Pandit Manoj Kedia follows—an intricate dialogue of strings that bridges tradition and innovation.
Vocalist Vidushi Nabanita Chowdhary lends her soulful voice to the night, weaving emotion into every raga.
Rising talent Sanket Joshi adds youthful energy with a dynamic tabla solo, while the rhythmic ensemble—Ustad Akram Khan, Zargham Khan, and Rohen Bose—creates a pulsating undercurrent of virtuosity.
Harmonium accompaniment by Rajendra Prasad Banerjee and Sumit Mishra completes the evening’s rich musical tapestry.
The final evening of Bharat Sanskriti Yatra—August 10th—culminates in a sublime celebration of sound and movement.
Padma Shri Ronu Majumder and Pandit Mysore Manjunath combine flute and violin in a duet that breathes life into the soul of Indian classical music.
Vidushi Saniya Patankar’s vocal artistry and Vidushi Samira Kaser’s Kathak performance offer a lyrical and visual homage to tradition, while Guru Brij Mohan Ganjani’s Padant anchors the rhythm with spiritual gravitas.
The evening also features the evocative vocals of Ramesh Parihar and the meditative strains of Salim Kumar’s sitar.
