Anhad Dhwani: A Divine Symphony of Classical Dance, Music, and Spiritual Resonance

Utkarsh 2026 – Anhad Dhwani: A Divine Symphony of Classical Dance, Music and Spiritual Resonance, will be held at Uttam Mancha, Kolkata, on 25 September 2026.
Anhad Dhwani unfurls like a sacred raga—each movement a prayer, each rhythm a breath of eternity. Within its luminous weave, devotion and artistry merge, echoing the eternal pulse of creation.
As the lamps of Kalastuti glow at Uttam Mancha, the evening transforms into a sanctum of sound and spirit —with a stirring rendition of Vande Mataram, marking 150 years since Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s timeless composition, its patriotic fervor intertwined with invocations to Shiva, Ganesha, Krishna, Rama and Saraswati — a prayer for wisdom and righteousness to guide the night ahead.
From this reverent beginning blossoms a celebration of classical rigor.
Pushpanjali opens the dance with offering and grace, flowing into Keertanam’s emotive storytelling, the melodic devotion of Tulsidas Bhajan, and the lyrical intimacy of Javeli — each piece choreographed under the masterful guidance of Padmashri Guru Smt. Geeta Chandran and the late Padmabhushan Guru Shri C.V. Chandrashekhar. The segment crescendos in a vibrant Thillana, where intricate footwork and rhythmic complexity ignite the stage.
The evening then turns toward Kabiguru, tracing Rabindranath Tagore’s poetic universe through six evocative Parjays — Puja, Bichitra, Prem, Prakriti, Anusthanik, and Swadesh — before settling into the meditative stillness of Bahe Nirantara, a closing meditation on eternal peace.
Kalastuti Dance Institute: Where Tradition Finds Rhythm
At Kalastuti Dance Institute, dance is not merely taught — it is lived, breathed, and felt in every movement.
Here, students discover the discipline of technique and the freedom of rhythm in equal measure, building strength and flexibility while exploring the rich diversity of dance genres and cultures. Through rigorous rehearsal and heartfelt performance, each dancer grows not only in skill but in confidence, discipline, and the courage of self-expression. For over seven years, this institute has gracefully woven the art of movement into the cultural fabric of Howrah, nurturing generations of dancers under one guiding light.
That guiding light is Smt. Chaity Ghosh, a Bharatanatyam artist whose decade-long journey is marked by unwavering devotion to tradition.
Her path to mastery was neither easy nor accidental — it was forged through perseverance and a deep reverence for classical form.
She holds a Master’s degree in Dance (Bharatanatyam) from Rabindra Bharati University, graduating with 1st Class, 1st Position as a Gold Medalist, a testament to her scholarly and artistic excellence.
Her journey has been further enriched by performances across various concerts, each experience adding depth to her craft and wisdom to her teaching.
It is this rare blend of discipline, humility, and artistry that defines Smt. Chaity Ghosh as a mentor — and it is under her guidance that Kalastuti Dance Institute continues to rise, shaping not just dancers, but storytellers of tradition.
Guided by her discipline and grace, Kalastuti Dance Institute flourishes — nurturing not dancers, but storytellers of timeless tradition.
