A Rare Tribute to Ustad Bismillah Khan & Ustad Vilayat Khan: Celebrating 50 Years of Jugalbandi

In the heart of Kolkata, where tradition dances with time, Chandrakala Dance Academy presents a soul-stirring homage to two legends of Indian classical music—Ustad Bismillah Khan and Ustad Vilayat Khan. Titled A Rare Tribute, this event marks 50 glorious years of Jugalbandi, the magical duet of Shehnai and Sitar, echoing the purity and genius of classical sound.

On 12 January 2026, at 5:00 PM, the ICCR auditorium in Ho Chi Minh Sarani will transform into a sanctuary of melody and movement. The evening promises a confluence of rhythm and reverence, featuring an ensemble of distinguished artists: Ustad Sabir Khan, Pandit Partha Bose, Shri Lokesh Anand, Asif Khan, Kumud Ranjan Santra, Yui Murakami (Japan), Chandrachur Bhattacharjee, Kousik Chakraborty, Umesh Mishra,  Sibasish Roy, Rosy Dutta, Swapnonil Sarkar, Soumi Patra, Sneha Sarkar, Aratrika Mondal, Sanjukta Ghosh Sarkar, Gangi Samaddar, and many more. Each performer brings their own light to this constellation of talent, weaving a tapestry of devotion and artistry.
