A Journey of Silence and Grace: Tribute to Kalaimamani Dr. V.G. Santhosam’s 90th Birth Anniversary

On the occasion of his 90th birth anniversary, Kalaimamani Dr. V.G. Santhosam, Chairman of VGP Groups and Founder of VGP Ulaga Thamizh Sangam, Chennai, is honored through an evocative tribute that celebrates his lifelong dedication to Tamil culture and global harmony. His vision has nurtured countless artistic and cultural endeavors, leaving an indelible mark on communities across India and beyond.

The exhibition, “A Journey of Silence and Grace”, showcases the profound works of Artist R. Rajendran, Guinness World Records Holder (2007). His paintings invite audiences into a contemplative space where silence speaks and grace flows through color and form. This artistic journey resonates deeply with the values embodied by Dr. Santhosam, offering a visual homage to his enduring legacy.

The inaugural event, held on 15th February 2026 at 6 PM at the Vanna Aruvi Gallery, Puducherry, will be graced by distinguished guests including Kalaimamani Dr. V. Muthu, President of Puduvai Tamizh Sangam; Mr. R.E. Segar, Social worker; Kalaimamani Dr. J. Gopal; Kalaimamani Dr. PV. Prabhakaran, HOD, Fine Arts Department, BPK, Puducherry; and Mr. Laurent Jalicous, Director of Alliance Française de Pondicherry, alongside eminent artists and cultural leaders. 

The gathering reflects the collective reverence for Dr. Santhosam’s contributions, culminating in a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Selva Angel Foundation for his role in installing 192 Thiruvalluvar statue around the world.

The exhibition continues from 16th to 17th February, 10 AM to 8 PM, offering visitors an immersive experience of Rajendran’s artistry. 

More than an exhibition, it is a celebration of memory, creativity, and cultural pride—an enduring tribute to a man whose life has been a symphony of service, vision and grace.
