Where Art Meets Stillness: Kala-Yoga Satsanga at TASMAI, Pondicherry

This Saturday, 24th October 2026, from 5.00 to 6.00 pm, TASMAI, a Centre for Art & Culture in Pondicherry opens its doors for the Kala-Yoga Satsanga, a monthly study circle where art, spirituality and shared reflection meet.

This week’s gathering returns to a recent field trip to the Devanatha Hemabhujavalli Temple. Devotees know it as the Hayagrivah Koyil or the Thiruvanthipuram Koyil, in Thiruvanthipuram village near Cuddalore. Its sculpted forms and painted walls, glowing in deep blues and gold, invite the kind of slow looking that turns a visit into an experience.

Participants are invited to share their thoughts, impressions and memories of the visit. Once the stories are told, the circle will plan the next ancient temple field trip, in November 2026.

TASMAI also keeps a quiet promise of its own. It is a zero-waste, sustainable and conscious space where single-use plastics and pet bottles are not allowed.
