Inspiration to Inspire: Where Art Meets World Records
Auroville’s Bharat Nivas, the Pavilion of India, has turned into a living gallery. Inspiration to Inspire marks 15 years (2011-2026) of the Assist World Records Research Foundation, and it is on view now at Kala Kendra until 1 November 2026, daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
At its heart are paintings by R. Rajendran, Guinness World Record Holder (2007) and Founder of Assist World Records, Puducherry.
His series Whispers of Auroville & Puducherry turns the cultural landscapes around him into stories of imagination, perseverance and creative evolution.
The exhibition was ceremoniously inaugurated on 11 October 2026 at 10.30 a.m. by Honorable Chief Minister of Puducherry, N. Rangasamy, whose presence added great significance to the event.
Joining him were eminent personalities including Dr. V.G. Santhosam, Chairman of the VGP Group of Companies, alongside Janmajey Mohanty (Trustee, Bharat Nivas), Kalaimamani Dr. V. Muthu (President, Puduvai Tamizh Sangam), R.E. Segar (Social Worker), Kalaichemmal Raghavan N. (Sculptor and Art Director), Om Sakthi Ramesh (Social Worker), Remiyan (Art Director), Kalaimamani Soucumaran (Eminent Artist, Puducherry), other distinguished artists, cultural leaders, and well-wishers from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Their participation reflected the growing importance of artistic expression as a catalyst for cultural dialogue and social inspiration. The exhibition showcases a remarkable collection of paintings shaped by Rajendran’s reflections and explorations, drawing deeply from the cultural richness of Auroville and Puducherry. Each work resonates with a spirit of discovery, inviting viewers to engage with art as a universal language that transcends boundaries and awakens human potential.
More than a display of artistic excellence, the exhibition unfolds as a journey through creativity itself.
Every canvas reveals a story of observation, dedication and transformation, encouraging visitors to embrace inspiration as a force that can shape lives and communities.
