Journey of a Woman – Giribala Tripathy’s Soulful Art Exhibition Illuminates Maison Perumal, Puducherry
Yesterday evening, July 25th, 2026, the serene heritage walls of Maison Perumal, Puducherry, glowed with quiet grace as renowned artist Giribala Tripathy unveiled her solo exhibition, Journey of a Woman.
The inauguration unfolded like a poetic ritual — renowned Kalaimani Saroja, Kirti Chandak, Viswajyoti, and Lata Balakrishnan lit the auspicious lamp, their presence weaving a circle of light around the artist’s introspective canvases.
Each painting whispered of transformation — earthy greens and muted browns tracing the contours of solitude, resilience and awakening.
The evening deepened in spirit with the presence of Prof. Suresh K. Nair, the internationally acclaimed artist from Banaras Hindu University, and renowned Photographer and Cartoonist Shri. Balakrishnan K. Anat, whose gentle words mirrored the exhibition’s essence: a woman’s voyage through art, emotion and self-realization.
Born in Orissa, shaped by the calm of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Giribala Tripathy paints meditation in motion. Mentored by renowned artist Kirti Chandak, her art blends pedagogy with practice. Workshops in Auroville and beyond reveal her devotion to sustainable craft. Journeys through Ajanta, Ellora, Konark, Hampi, Tanjore, Santiniketan deepen her bond with heritage and form.
