I Become the Painting: Sezhian’s Illustrated Talk at Tasmai, Pondicherry

On July 5th, 2026, the serene corridors of Tasmai, Centre for Art & Culture, Puducherry, will awaken to the luminous presence of Sezhian.I, whose illustrated talk “I Become the Painting” unfolds between 6 and 7 p.m. in Pondicherry’s gentle twilight.

Sezhian, founder of the Primal Vision art practice, is not merely a painter but a seeker—his canvases breathe with the pulse of humanity. Trained at Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam and Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu, his works have graced the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts and the Lalit Kala Akademi, earning national recognition for their meditative intensity and layered symbolism.

“I am not just creating paintings; I am continually creating myself,” he says—a declaration that transforms art into a spiritual dialogue. His journey, as he describes, is not toward an end but toward a deeper understanding of humankind. Each brushstroke becomes a whisper of empathy, a mirror to the collective soul.

The evening also marks the Closure of the Sustainable Art Show, featuring a constellation of artists—Aditi Suneja, Bhavani G.S., V.K. Durai, Giribala Tripathy, Kirti Chandak, Kripa Lalumarc Barandard, Padmanaban.T, Paramesh Jolad, Radja Perumal, Saroja.T, and Sezhian.I—whose works together form a tapestry of creative consciousness.
