15 June 2026:
Mavericks of Narratives: A Symphony of Artistic Voices at MKF Museum
At the MKF Museum of Art, Bangalore, the group exhibition “Mavericks of Narratives” curated by Shirley Mathew brings together three distinguished Chennai-based artists—Asma Menon, Gita Hudson and Thejomaye Menon—whose works form a seamless dialogue of imagination and emotion.
Each artist, with her distinctive style, contributes to a collective visual language that feels like an alchemy of thought, blending form, color and texture into a poetic mosaic.
Opened on 13 June 2026 and continuing until 24 June, the show brings together the distinct creative worlds of Gita Hudson, Thejomaye Menon and Asma Menon—three artists whose works resonate with depth, symbolism and emotion.
Each canvas in this exquisite Triptych presentation becomes a dialogue of color, texture and thought—where abstraction meets narrative, and tradition converses with modernity. Supported by the Manjushree Khaitan Foundation, the exhibition reflects the curator’s vision of uniting diverse artistic voices under one harmonious theme.
“Asma Menon delves into the occult inspired by her surroundings, with definitive lines that speak her narrative. Gita Hudson decodes landscapes through abstract compositions in earth tones. Thejomaye Menon journeys into a philosophical realm, weaving contrasts of vibrant hues and monochrome,” reflects Curator Shirley Mathew, describing the trio’s creative synergy.
Contemporary yet rooted in tradition, their works evoke metaphors that invite viewers to create stories of their own—each canvas a mirror to emotion and intellect.
