Arangettam of Shivli & Aditri Mathur at Triveni Kala Sangam

On 9th May 2026, the prestigious Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, New Delhi, became the sanctum of a memorable celebration of Indian classical arts.

Sisters Shivli Mathur and Aditri Mathur, daughters of Smt. Veena and Shri V.D. Mathur from Gurugram, marked their ‘Arangetram’ (Ranga Pravesham) before a packed, houseful audience, etching a milestone in their artistic journeys.

The evening opened with the soulful Hindustani Classical Vocal recital of Shivli Mathur, disciple of Vidushi Smt. Rama Sundar Ranganathan. Her presentation of a vilambit and chhoti khayal in Raag Yaman Kalyan, followed by the devotional abhanga “Kannada Raja Pandharisa,” revealed a voice steeped in melody and refinement. Accompanied by Shri Balram Sisodia Ji on tabla and Shri Lalit Sisodia Ji on harmonium, Shivli’s artistry captivated rasikas with its purity and grace.

The second half unfolded with the Bharatanatyam Ranga Pravesham of Aditri Mathur, disciple of Vidushi Smt. Reshmi Pathiyath, who travelled from Dubai to bless the occasion. Through ten exquisite pieces—including the devotional “Achutam Keshavam”—Aditri showcased the complete spectrum of Bharatanatyam: Nritta, Nritya, and Natya. Her recital, divided between Shaivism and Vaishnavism, moved seamlessly from the spiritually powerful Shiva Varnam to expressive Krishna Padams, leaving many in the audience deeply touched, even tearful.

The evening was graced by eminent guests—Vidushi Smt. Sudha Raghuraman, Carnatic vocalist and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee; Smt. Aditi Misra, Director of DPS group of schools; and Smt. Srilata Ramkumar, renowned architect and Balvikas Guru of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation. Their presence underscored the cultural significance of the occasion.

Blossoming Through Discipline and Devotion

With nearly a decade of devoted training, Shivli Mathur has emerged as a radiant voice in Hindustani classical music. Guided first by Shri Anil Gupta Ji and now under the refined mentorship of Guru Vidushi Smt. Rama Sundar Ranganathan Ji, she has cultivated mastery in raga exposition, voice culture, and classical aesthetics.

A Visharad graduate from Prachin Kala Kendra University, Shivli balances her post‑graduation with academic pursuits at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, where she is pursuing B.S. and B.Tech in CCE. Her soulful renditions have graced temples and esteemed venues across India, enchanting audiences with their depth and nuance. Honoured with over 15 national and international awards, including accolades from the International Book of Records, ICMDA, Margazhi Utsav, SPIC MACAY, and Kalagram Gurugram, Shivli’s artistry has been celebrated widely.

Their Arangettam bloomed as tradition and devotion in youthful brilliance.
