Vijaya Nrityanjali: A Bharatanatyam Tribute to Tradition
On the sacred evening of October 2nd, 2025, the graceful rhythms of Bharatanatyam will echo through Tyagaraja Swamy Mandiram in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
“Vijaya Nrityanjali,” presented by Sri Narayana Theertha Tarangini and choreographed by Guru Vid. Chitra Arvind, promises a soulful celebration of classical dance.
Performed by the Rhythmotion Ensemble, this event honors the legacy of Late Sri Gundlapalli Adi Narayana Garu and brings together devotion, artistry and cultural pride.
Alongside Chitra Arvind, the stage was graced by the expressive artistry of Alar Arvind, Vinitha Varma, Roopa Nagesh, Anagha Nagesh, Hiranmayi Nagesh, Advita Prabhu, Narayani Akshaya, Anagha Madhwapati, Hansiya Shete, Akshaya Vajragiri, and Arishma Bhardwaj. Each dancer brought their own light to the performance, weaving together movement and emotion in a tapestry of tradition. Vijaya Nrityanjali was not just a recital—it was a spiritual offering, echoing the timeless beauty of Bharatanatyam.

Chitra Arvind: Weaving Tradition with Contemporary Grace
Chitra Arvind, the visionary behind Rhythmotion since 2008, stands as a dynamic force in Indian dance today.
An empaneled artist of ICCR and a graded performer of Doordarshan, she began her journey at just seven, mastering Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Contemporary dance with unwavering dedication.
Trained under revered gurus including Dr. Lalitha Srinivasan, B. Bhanumati, Guru Padmini Ravi, Guru Chitra Venugopal and Dr. Maya Rao, Chitra blends deep classical roots with modern expression.
With a BA in Choreography from the Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography, she has spent over three decades nurturing dancers and crafting powerful performances. Her works at Rhythmotion reflect a seamless fusion of tradition and innovation, earning her global acclaim across the UK, USA, Europe, South Korea and beyond.
