Echoes of the Earth: Ranjeeta Kant’s Solo Exhibition at Bikaner House

Chawla Art Gallery, New Delhi proudly presents Echoes of the Earth, a solo exhibition by renowned artist Ranjeeta Kant, on view from 21st to 25th August 2025 at Bikaner House, New Delhi.

Through bold  abstractions and deeply symbolic forms, Ranjeeta Kant invites to listen to the silent cries of a planet in peril. Her artworks, inspired by global landscapes and ecological loss—from California’s burning hills to India’s vanishing forests—transform environmental grief into visual poetry.

“My abstract paintings are a visual representation of the Earth’s plight, reflecting both the beauty and the turmoil that coexist in our world. The greens and blues in my work evoke the planet’s natural splendour, while the reds and oranges mirror the strain we have placed upon it. I want viewers to feel the tension between serenity and crisis — and to understand that healing is possible if we act with awareness and resolve. My hope is that these works inspire reflection, dialogue and ultimately, responsibility.”— Ranjeeta Kant

Ranjeeta Kant’s art speaks with quiet urgency. Inspired by her travels and deep connection to nature, she creates powerful red abstractions that echo the pain of forest fires—from California’s scorched hills to India’s lost green cover. These vivid works, though beautiful, carry the sorrow of deforestation and fading biodiversity.

Each canvas becomes a mirror, asking us to face the damage we’ve caused and to feel the Earth’s silent grief.

Between Silence and Storm: Abstraction as a Language of Renewal

Amid the urgency of ecological loss, Ranjeeta Kant’s exhibition also offers a gentle breath of hope.

Inspired by her recent visit to Bellagio, on the peaceful shores of Lake Como, a parallel series of artworks brings calm, balance and quiet joy. These meditative pieces celebrate nature’s harmony and remind us of the beauty still worth protecting. The contrast between her fiery canvases and these serene works reflects the dual truth of our planet—fragile yet strong, wounded yet capable of healing.

Ranjeeta Kant’s journey into pure abstraction shines through each piece, where colour, texture and form speak louder than words. Her signature brushwork remains, now flowing freely across the canvas with renewed confidence and grace.

“Ranjeeta’s work is a rare blend of beauty, urgency and emotional truth. Her paintings demand to be felt, not just seen. ‘Echoes of the Earth’ is more than an exhibition – it’s an experience that asks each of us to reflect on our relationship with the environment and our role in shaping its future.”

This exhibition is not just a showcase of artistic brilliance, but a heartfelt call to reconnect with nature and reflect on the fragile beauty we risk losing.
