Embroidery Satsang: A Threaded Gathering of Souls

Every Thursday at 6 p.m., the courtyard of TASMAI Centre for Art & Culture in Pondicherry transforms into a sanctuary of thread and thought, welcoming all who wish to explore hand embroidery, macrame and crochet. 

On 7th August 2025, TASMAI, Centre for Arts & Culture in Puducherry, invites all to gather for an evening of hand embroidery and quiet togetherness. 

The Embroidery Satsang is open to all—an inclusive space where needle and thread become tools of reflection, empowerment and collective creativity.

The “1 Needle rEVOLUTION” is more than a creative gathering—it’s a conscious movement that empowers individuals by upskilling, fostering mindfulness and reviving textile traditions. 

Participants create textile pieces that become part of a collective quilt, showcased in the ongoing exhibition Textile as Art & Fashion.
