An Exhibition titled “WITHERING WINGS” will be on show from 26 February 2022  and will continue till 20 March, 2022 at Nero Art Hub, Amrit Nagar, New Delhi.

Sambit Panda and Gopal Samantray are internationally acclaimed contemporary artists who have been working in the field of arts for years.

“My core subject is based on the environment, common values and traditions within modern society. While going through different phases of works I have been changed in the cosmopolitan’s nurture that compels me to think about urbanisation and the living organism”, says the renowned artist Sambit Panda.

“The images I paint, draw are a celebration of the hopeful and cheerful aspects of our life, urbanisation, environment, our society and response to nature”, the internationally acclaimed artist shared his practice of utilising various themes in his work.

Sambit Panda, a contemporary multimedia artist has exhibited extensively in India.  He has conducted shows in Tagore Centre, Berlin, FADA Los Angeles Art Show, Art Fair Singapore and Art Hertz, Visual Art Gallery & Nehru Centre in  London.

He has received many prestigious awards including ‘Chitranadi Sanman’, Kalahandi  2009 & 2011, Yuva Pratibha  Award 2010 and  Chitra Shilpi Sanman.

He studied BFA from B K College of Art, Bhubaneswar and MFA from National Museum Institute, New Delhi.


Gopal Samantray’s artworks have been displayed at numerous solo and group shows across India.

He has also conducted shows at  Singapore, Dubai and Lahore.

“He has passed through a considerable journey of style, subject and presentation. While his subjects revolve around the environmental/ ecological issues, his cultivated a signature style creates a surreal space for the animals to inhabit. The compositions are exclusively illuminated at points to reflect the expansion as well as detachment, positioning”, says Prof. Pradosh Mishra, Ph. D,  Art Historian and Professor of History of Art, Banaras Hindu University, Varanassi while analysing the paintings of the great artist Gopal Samantray.

His paintings reflect his affection towards the environment and his “engagement with nature as a metaphor”.

He completed his B.F.A and M.F.A from the B.K College of Art, Odisha and received many awards including from the Government of Odisha.
