Vukadinović International Art Symposium 2026: A Sanctuary of Creative Synergy
“Color helps to express light, not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist’s brain.” – Henri Matisse
The 24th Vukadinović International Art Symposium, held from 29 May to 5 June 2026 at the renowned SavoJo Hotel in Buljarica, Montenegro, once again affirmed its place as a prestigious crucible of cultural exchange. Bringing together 15 leading artists from seven countries—Georgia, Azerbaijan, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Italy, France and Belarus—the symposium transformed the Balkan landscape into a living canvas of shared vision.
The highlight of this year’s gathering was the grand exhibition on 4 June 2026, staged in the hotel’s gallery, where works created during the symposium were unveiled to the public and guests. Each piece reflected not only the raw emotion of the region but also the collaborative spirit that defines this international art project.
The Vukadinović Symposium is more than an event—it is a sanctuary for creative synergy. Stripping away the solitude of the studio, it offers artists an open, collaborative environment where dialogue, experimentation and cultural resonance flourish. Many participants described the atmosphere as uniquely inspiring, a rare space where artistic exploration becomes both communal and transcendent.
This 24th edition reaffirmed the symposium’s legacy: a celebration of light, color and human connection, where art is not confined to canvas but becomes a living exchange of ideas across borders.
Vukadinović International Art Symposium 2026: Montenegrin Inspiration in Color and Spirit
Founder and organizer Djordje Vukadinović, President of Association SR “Vukadinović,” reflected:
“The Art Symposium in Montenegro is international in scope and features world‑class artists. The renowned Hotel SavoJo in Buljarica was a main partner ready to host these outstanding artists, representing seven countries and different cultures. Our aim was to give them the Montenegrin Inspiration: Light, Crags and Liquid Blue.”
He added with pride:
“I was honored to invite Dr. Larissa Noury to the 24th Vukadinović Symposium, entitled “The Beauty of a Woman from My Region”. As an acclaimed painter, architect and color historian, she brought her unique concept of ‘tactile colors’ to Montenegro, bridging the visible world and the invisible soul.”
Looking ahead, Mr. Vukadinović emphasized the symposium’s expanding vision:
“We were happy to organize visits to cities like Kotov, Budva, and Podgorica, and to invite television and media coverage. In the near future, we will host exhibitions in renowned galleries in Serbia and participating countries, and also provide artists free participation in the Serbian Biennial MEFESTUV competition.”
Dr. Larissa Noury’s Tactile Colors in Montenegro
The 24th Vukadinović International Art Symposium became a luminous stage where global artistry met the timeless soul of Montenegro. Among its distinguished voices, Dr. Larissa Noury brought her philosophy of tactile colors into dialogue with the rugged landscapes and communal spirit of the gathering.
“For me it was a great opportunity to balance my distinct artistic philosophy with the dramatic landscape of Montenegro and the communal spirit of the Vukadinović Symposium. This communal energy acts as a catalyst… The resulting artwork is not just a personal reflection of a landscape, but a record of a shared cultural moment.” – Dr. Larissa Noury
Dr. Larissa’s creations unfolded in three poetic dimensions:
- Textures of Time – tactile layers echoing ancient stone architecture and the weathered faces of Montenegro’s mountains.
- Geometry of Light – vertical black peaks and fluid blue horizons synthesized into architectural rhythm.
- Color Harmony – the deep Adriatic blues and blinding Mediterranean light flowing between lyrical abstraction and emotional reality.
The 24th Vukadinović Symposium glows as a radiant testament—where Larissa Noury’s tactile colors and Montenegro’s timeless soul unite in luminous harmony.
