VIDUSHI DR. NABANITA CHOWDHARY ORGANIZED THE AUSPICIOUS GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATIONS 2023   

The disciples of internationally acclaimed vocalist, Vidushi Dr. Nabanita Chowdhary organized the auspicious Guru Purnima Celebration 2023 on Sunday, 16 July 2023 in the auditorium of Yog Bhawan in Greater Noida. 

The shishya-pariwar is zealously carrying forward the musical legacy of the ancient  Benaras Gharana, organised  from the oldest Holy city, Varanasi. On this providential day, the disciples worshipped and paid tributes to their Grand Gurus and Grand Guruma, Padmabhushan Pandits Rajan Sajan Misra, Pandit Deepak Chatterjee Rasikrang and Padmabhushan Vidushi Shobha Gurtu.

“More than 35 disciples presented solo performances after the ceremonial guru-pujans. Serenity, peace and meditative components in the recitals of the shishyas truly transcend the discerning audience from this mundane world to the upper plane of consciousness,” said the renowned musician Vidushi Dr. Nabanita Chowdhary.

The devout celebration befittingly concluded with the recital of the invited artists, Pandit Sudhakar Chavan from Pune, followed by Sudhakar ji’s grand recital of Raga “Gorakh Kalyan”,  a Marathi Geet and finally a piece in “Bhairavi”.  Accomplished musicians, Shri Sudip Chowdhury and Janab Zakir Dholpuri ably accompanied Sudhakar ji on the Tabla and Harmonium respectively. 

The musical Guru Purnima celebration, attended by the packed to the capacity of connoisseurs will remain etched in their hearts for a very long time.
