Mysore Nagaraj & Dr. Mysore Manjunath, the gifted Violin maestros, who have been mesmerizing audiences all over the world as star performers.
Dr. Manjunath has performed in many highly reputed World Music Festivals, conducted various Jugalbanhi and fusion programmes.
He is one of the youngest recipients of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award by the Government of India and the Rajyotsava Award by the Government of Karnataka.
The great Sitar legend and Bharath Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar complemented his music and called him the ‘Prince of Mysore’ when he attended the prestigious live Concert of Dr. Manjunath at San Diego in 2012.
He is a true “Cultural Ambassador of India” who continues to spread the rich cultural heritage of Indian classical music.
Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh is the premier educational organization providing yeomen service for the promotion, preservation and dissemination of Indian classical arts of music, dance and fine arts (painting) since its inception in 1956 and has offices in Chandigarh, Punjab, West Bengal, Odisha and New Delhi. Kendra is also opening its office in Bihar and Jharkhand.
Pracheen Kala Kendra imparts quality education and training in Indian Classical including Carnatic Music (Vocal and Instrumental), Classical dances (Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi) and Fine Arts (Painting).
Kendra organizes cultural programmes, Painting workshops and exhibitions in various cities to provide a platform to showcase young talents in the country.
