TRANSFORMING MODULAR ORIGAMI – A WORKSHOP by ABHIPSA/ TASMAI, A CENTRE FOR ART & CULTURE/ PONDICHERRY/ Wednesday/ 10August 2022 / 4.00 PM – 5.30 PM/
ABHIPSA, the visual artist conducts a workshop on Origami – an art of paper folding often associated with Japanese culture.
The word ‘Oru’ is to fold and ‘Kami’ means paper. Modern practitioners are using Origami not just as a craft for teaching but using this in packaging in the commercial industries.
Let’s do Geometrical shapes in Origami with multiple papers too without gluing it. With multiple papers, beautiful decorations and 3D shapes and more, wonderful models can be made.
Abhipsa is a visual artist and she is working as an art teacher and a freelance illustrator for Children’s books based in Delhi. She also conducts Origami Workshops for children, adults and students of Architectural Colleges.
Abhipsa studied BVA from Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam College, Pondicherry.
