TRANQUILITY OF NATURE- MEENA YADHAV’S ART EXHIBITION IN NEW DELHI / 25 January 2023 /

TRANQUILITY OF NATURE – Solo Art Exhibition of renowned artist Meena Yadhav will be on show at Open Palm India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi from 27 January 2023 till 31 January 2023. The Art preview will be held at Open Palm India Habitat from 6.00 PM onwards.

“Abstract Art to me is the truest form of expression and I would like to spend many more years to come exploring this art form, and through my 15-year journey, I’ve observed myself evolve as an artist, through the mediums I have used to communicate and the narrative chosen. My work has hinted at my current stage of life and the experiences of people around me. Throughout my journey, I’ve moulded the form of expression based on what fits at the moment and helps me portray my imagination in the most liberal manner. After 15 years of working, art is ingrained in my daily routine as a joyful chore”, says renowned contemporary artist Meena Yadav, who is exhibiting her latest artworks portraying ‘contrasted worlds that depict peace that is much needed in nature’.

Artist Meena Yadav has been pursuing art professionally for the last 15 years. She started her journey with contemporary art and transitioned into abstract within a few years.

The artist believes that the seamless transition from earthy to darker colours creates room for interpretations and it represents both the calmness and the disturbance that humans are creating in nature.

In her work, she also displays the nuances of our society; natural habitats that are getting destroyed and leaving animals homeless, cultural norms, nature and the effects of deforestation and how humans need to curb their materialism before it gets too late.

Artist Meena Yadhav grew up in a city in Kanpur. Most of her early childhood days were spent near the countryside in this city. She spent her teenage years in the hustle-bustle of Delhi which at the time was quite a contrast to the quieter life she had back in Kanpur. Having travelled to many cities for a short span of time she was exposed to multiple cultures and that also showed her the contrasts of society.

She derives insights and awareness through her various travel experiences and she tries to put on canvas her own thoughts from her subconscious mind, exploring the world around her.

She has conducted several shows including at IGNCA being her first in 2014, WAMA artist show 2016, Khajuraho International 2016, Sahitya Kala Parishad 2016, Indian Habitat Center in 2018, The India art festival in 2019, India Art Festival 2020 and The Bombay art society 2021.
