Punascha Nritya Kala Kendra proudly presents its much-awaited annual production—Tarang 2025, a mesmerizing tribute to India’s rich heritage, cultural diversity and spirit of unity through the art of classical dance.
This spectacular evening promises a journey into the depths of tradition, where music, rhythm and movement come together to tell stories of India’s timeless essence.
Curated and choreographed by the renowned danseuse Nandita Banerjee, Tarang 2025 will unfold on 5th June 2025 at Gyan Manch, Kolkata, starting at 6:00 PM.
Chidanandabilasa: A Soulful Dance Journey
Following the grand spectacle of Tarang 2025, Punascha Nritya Kala Kendra is honored to present Chidanandabilasa at 7:00 PM—a deeply evocative production choreographed by Nandita Banerjee. With music composed by Pandit Debojyoti Bose and a compelling script by Swastik Banerjee, this presentation promises to be an unforgettable experience, enriched by the dynamic lighting artistry of Soumen Chakravarti.
The performance will take audiences on a mesmerizing journey, celebrating grace, storytelling and devotion through classical dance. It features a spellbinding solo Odissi recital by Subikash Mukherjee (Guest Performer) and Nandita Banerjee, showcasing the intricate beauty of the dance form.
Adding to the evening’s grandeur is a rare Bharatanrityam presentation—a unique blend of Bharatanatyam and the sacred principles of Natyasastra, carrying the legacy of Padma Vibhushan Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. This performance pays homage to tradition while embracing artistic innovation.
With deep admiration for her lineage, renowned artiste Nandita Banerjee continues the legacy of her guru, Rashmi Bandyopadhyay, a senior disciple of Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. Her dedication to classical dance shines through in every movement, creating a production that is both spiritually enriching and visually stunning.
