TANSEN MUSIC FESTIVAL
Tansen Samaroh 2020, the 96th edition will be held at Gwalior from 26 December 2020 to 30 December, 2020.
Tansen Samaroh or Tansen Music Festival is celebrated every year in the month of December in Behat village of Gwalior organised jointly by Ustad Alauddin Khan Kala Evam Sangeet Academy and Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Several concerts will be held at the legendary musician’s tomb and at his birth place, Behat in Gwalior.
Artists and music lovers from all over the world gather here to pay tribute to the great musician Tansen.
It’s a unique five day musical event honouring the great legend in music.
Artists from the UK, Mexico and Iran will be attending the Samaroh 2020.
Due to the pandemic entry will be restricted through passes following Covid guidelines.
Live concerts will be available on Youtube and Facebook of the Department of Culture, Madhya Pradesh.
The prestigious ‘ National Tansen Samman’ for the long devotion and contribution to Hindustani classical music will also be awarded on this occasion.
