Self Awakening Retreat at SwarnaBhoomi Eco Stay, Puducherry: Yoga, Expressive Art & Mindful Healing on 27 September 2026

Some mornings are meant for slowing down. On Sunday, 27 September, from 8 to 10 AM, SwarnaBhoomi Eco Stay & Retreat in Puducherry will host the Self Awakening Retreat, a gentle two-hour journey of yoga, art and mindful reconnection.

The retreat is led by artists Giribala Thripathi and Paramita Chatterjee. It opens with yogasana and pranayam to steady the mind.

Leading the morning’s yoga session is artist Giribala Tripathy. Her programme blends yogasana and pranayam to steady the mind, preparing participants for the creative journey ahead.

Born in Orissa and shaped by the calm of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Giribala paints meditation in motion. Stillness runs through her canvases, and her art blends pedagogy with practice, so that teaching and creating feed each other. Her travels through Ajanta, Ellora, Konark, Hampi, Tanjore and Santiniketan have deepened her bond with heritage and form. Each of these places, rich in stone, line and devotion, has left its mark on her visual language. Speaking about the workshop, Giribala shared:

“Both of us bring different strengths to this two-hour programme. Paramita is an artist from Kolkata, and she is passionate as a life coach and practicing to help others for their life journey.”
— Giribala Tripathy, Artist

A creative painting session follows, where color becomes a way to release inner stress. Along the way, participants will experience mindful meditation, anxiety and stress-relief techniques, expressive art and energy alignment, and they may leave with a renewed, positive sense of self through art therapy.

Paramita Chatterjee has never followed a single path. She is an artist, life coach and expressive art practitioner. She holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and a PGDBA, and her journey has taken her from research and teaching in Kolkata to scientific work at the University of Göttingen in Germany, classrooms in Dharamshala and the corporate world. Through every chapter, art remained a quiet constant, a way to understand emotions and find clarity. Her travels across many countries have given her a broad, compassionate outlook.

SoulAura

From this belief grew SoulAura By Paramita: transformation often begins with a simple pause. Its expressive art practice uses colours, lines, shapes and textures to help people explore their inner worlds, and it asks for no artistic skill. As Paramita’s philosophy puts it, a color may hold a memory, and a simple mark on a page may become the start of a new understanding.

“The beauty of expressive art lies in its freedom. There are no fixed rules and no right or wrong way to create. As people engage with the process, they may experience greater emotional awareness, calm, self-acceptance, clarity and connection with themselves. A colour may hold a memory. A line may reveal a feeling. A simple mark on a page may become the beginning of a new understanding.” –says Paramita

Her guiding path is Reflect • Reset • Rise:

Every person carries an inner canvas waiting to be explored. This Sunday morning in Puducherry offers a place to begin.
