Satyabrata Karmakar’s New Hyperrealistic Painting: A Tribute to Bengal’s Soul
Renowned for his hyperrealistic brushwork, contemporary artist Satyabrata Karmakar unveils a new masterpiece that echoes the spirit of Bengal. His latest canvas—measuring 30 by 36 inches—portrays an elderly in saffron robes, resting in serene contemplation beside a divine mural.
A graduate of the Indian College of Art and Draftsmanship under Rabindra Bharati University, Karmakar’s artistic path has been shaped by deep immersion in Bengal’s landscapes and lore.
After his studies, he wandered through villages and sacred sites, painting not just what he saw—but what he felt. His canvases capture the quiet dignity of rural life, the timeless presence of Sadhus, and the sacred rhythm of holy places. Whether working in acrylic, oil, or watercolour, his strokes carry the warmth of tradition and the precision of realism.
