Divine Connection: A Cultural Dance Offering by Parampara’s Disciples

Samarpan 2025 unfolds like a sacred offering—where tradition, learning and devotion come together in every step. 

Organised  by PARAMPARA, an institution dedicated to preserving and evolving India’s performing arts heritage, this radiant festival spans from July 6th to 10th, guided by the wisdom of Guru Shri Kaliswaran Pillai.

From immersive workshops to vibrant performances and the soul-stirring Guru Purnima celebration, each day is steeped in reverence and artistic expression. 

From July 6th to 8th, Netaji Bhavan in Uttarpara, Kolkata, will come alive with a “Bharatanatyam workshop” guided by the esteemed Guru Shri Kaliswaran Pillai. 

 As the days unfold, the stage becomes a sacred canvas—culminating in the powerful presentation “Divine Connection,” where senior disciples of Parampara embody grace, discipline and devotion through every expressive gesture. 

Curated by Rajdeep Banerjee, with each step and gesture steeped in tradition, the performers—Moumita Gupta, Priya Bhattacharya, Kaberi Dey, Rittick Bhattacharya, Subhra Mallik, Dhiman Roy, Hritwashree Koley and Mousumi Sil—bring their dedication to life on stage.

Honouring Guru and Grace Through Dance 

On 9th July evening, the stage becomes a space of prayer and presence.

With graceful movements and expressive storytelling, disciples of Rajdeep Banerjee  pay homage to their guru, blending discipline with emotion in each rhythm, during the Guru Purnima celebrations.

A Dazzling Duet of Bharatanatyam and Kathak 

Grace meets rhythm as Samarpan 2025 shines a spotlight on two timeless dance forms—Bharatanatyam and Kathak—in a special morning presentation on July 9th at 11.00 AM. This soulful segment titled “Learn to Move Forward” brings together the expressive elegance of renowned artists Bidisha Banerjee in Bharatanatyam and the lyrical charm of Samila Bhattacharya in Kathak.
