SAINTS IN SONG – A BHAKTI-FILLED MUSICAL TRIBUTE|SHRI SATYA SAI AUDITORIUM | 13TH SEPTEMBER 2025 | NEW DELHI
Saints in Song—A Bhakti-Filled Musical Tribute to India’s Spiritual Icons
In a radiant confluence of devotion and melody, Saints in Song, will be presented by Sumadhur Hansadhwani Trust, New Delhi, and invites rasikas to an evening steeped in bhakti and cultural reverence.
Set within the serene embrace of Shri Satya Sai Auditorium, New Delhi, this evocative musical gathering pays homage to three towering spiritual figures whose legacies continue to shape India’s artistic soul—Saint Annamacharya, Saint Surdas and Swami Vivekananda.
Annamacharya, the 15th-century Carnatic saint-poet, offered over 32,000 lyrical verses to Lord Venkateswara, weaving metaphysical insight into devotional song.
Saint Surdas, the blind bard of Braj, immortalized the divine play of Krishna through bhajans that shimmer with longing and poetic grace.
Swami Vivekananda, the visionary monk of modern India, infused his hymns with the fire of awakening and the spirit of national resurgence, echoing unity, strength and spiritual depth.
Together, these luminaries form a triad of transcendence—where music becomes prayer, and heritage finds voice in rhythm and raga.
HONORED BY THE PRESENCE OF SHRI KAPIL MISHRA, HON’BLE CABINET MINISTER, DELHI GOVERNMENT, THE EVENING PROMISES A CONFLUENCE OF SPIRITUALITY, RHYTHM AND CULTURAL REVERENCE—AN OFFERING TO THE DIVINE THROUGH SOUND.
On 13th September 2025, this soul-stirring event will feature revered Padma Shri & SNA Awardee Vidushi Sumitra Guha interpreting the verses of Saint Surdas and Annamacharya, Swami Kripakarandanda Maharaj (Doctor & Vocalist) channeling the spirit of Swami Vivekananda through song, and Pandit Nishikant Barodekar, offering a solo tabla recital in the lineage of Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Anchored by Dr. Neepa Choudhary and enriched by the artistry of Shri Suman Chatterjee (Tabla), Shri Sumit Mishra (Harmonium), Shri Anurodh Jain (Percussion), and Shri Siddharth Raj Dalbehera (Flute), the event becomes a confluence of classical resonance and spiritual depth.
Each note, each rhythm carries the timeless essence of bhakti, inviting listeners into a space where tradition breathes and the soul listens.
