Raag Rasoi Resham: A Living Tapestry of Indian Arts

The Vrindan Foundation, New Delhi, stands as a beacon of empowerment, nurturing the hidden potential within communities. In collaboration with Muktangan, the serene Art village in Dwarka, Delhi, and the Ajala Foundation, New Delhi, it brings forth a visionary project that celebrates India’s cultural soul.

“Raag Rasoi Resham” is not just an event—it is an experience where tradition and innovation meet in harmony.

Curated by the gifted textile designer and dancer Anohita Chowdhury, this unique initiative weaves together the threads of music, dance, textiles, painting, ceramics and culinary art into one vibrant day.

Imagine embroidery unfolding in real time, accompanied by live classical music performed by internationally acclaimed musicians. Picture sketches and paintings taking shape alongside the graceful movements of Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Sufi genre. Feel the aroma of traditional culinary art rising in rhythm with instrumental melodies. This project is a unique living canvas where every art form breathes together, creating a symphony of colors, textures and emotions.

Conceptualized by Vrindan Foundation, the theme seeks to bring forth the color of India—a celebration of heritage, creativity, and community spirit.

Over the course of a single day, art and audience will meet in an intimate indoor studio designed to foster closeness and dialogue. Beyond the studio, the open-air amphitheater at Muktangan Art Village, Usha Farm, Bijwasan, Dwarka, New Delhi, will come alive with traditional dance performances that echo the timeless rhythms of India’s heritage.

With DUEAST as the branding partner, and supported by some of India’s most respected craft, art and culinary houses—including rangsutra, RIAH, RAS VASTRA, Kornr Neeti, AJALA, NIV, and incipere—whose presence adds depth and distinction to the Raag Rasoi Resham initiative.

This celebration unfolds on Sunday, 18th January, from 11 AM to 5 PM, inviting everyone to experience the beauty of live art in its purest form. Entry is free, and ample parking space ensures that the day remains welcoming and accessible to all.

Art felt in real time—woven, danced, painted and shared.
