R. Gopakumar stands at the forefront of India’s digital art movement—not only as a celebrated artist but also as the nation’s most prolific collector in the genre, with over 300 works from 150 international artists in his archive. 

A graduate in Fine Arts (Painting) from the revered Raja Ravi Varma College of Fine Arts in Kerala, Gopakumar has honed his craft through advanced training at the London Art College and the Museum of Modern Art, shaping a practice that bridges tradition and innovation with global finesse.

Global Exhibitor and Digital Design Pioneer

R. Gopakumar’s artistic journey has reached audiences across continents, with his works showcased at esteemed venues such as Saatchi Gallery and Tate Britain in the UK, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (Collateral) in India, The Kinsey Institute Art Gallery in the USA, CADAF Crypto and Digital Art Fair in Paris, and Kingsborough Art Museum in New York. Beyond the gallery walls, Gopakumar has played a pivotal role in advancing digital creativity as the Creative Design Manager at Atyaf eSolutions W.L.L. in Bahrain, where his 27-year tenure has helped position the company as a trailblazer in digital innovation.
